Late/Absence Procedures

School Times:

Breakfast club opening times- 8.00am - 8:30am

School starts - 8:45am 

Pupils are to enter through the main reception and walk to the school yard to line up for registration.  If wet weather then pupils should remain in the hall until their teacher collects them. 

If pupils are not using our breakfast club they should not be on the school premises before 8.40am.

Foundation Phase:

Nursery

Morning session: 8:45am - 11:20am

Afternoon session: 1.00pm - 3:15pm

Reception to Year 6:

Morning session: 8:45am – 11.55am

Afternoon session: 12.55pm – 3.20pm

Attendance

If your child can't attend school please contact school (before 9.15am where possible) if your child is unable to attend for any reason.

Continue to keep school informed if your child is going to be off for more than one day

Punctuality

School starts at 8.45am prompt!

If your child is late arriving please report to the school office as he/she must be signed in to the late book.  This is regularly checked by the Education Welfare Officer.

If your child is 5 minutes late each day they are missing:

• 25 minutes of learning a week
• 315 minutes of learning a term
• 3 whole days off a year

Medical Appointments

If your child has a medical appointment during school hours you must inform the school office and provide 

Medical evidence.
